Record Player “Cassi”, 2012 Mixed Media

My record player is inspired by the work of Tinguely and Marclay. This is a collaboration of sculptural machines and connections between sound and noise. My record player is designed from a children's "Sit'n'spin", motor and pulley making the entire sculpture function as one piece. I chose the record Mozart to signify a timeless production of sound and noise.

Instructions: Please take the pink detached cone and gently place it onto the record to listen. Please do not touch the sculpture or the on/off switch.

This record player is dedicated to my little sister, Cassi.
I know all my hard work involved in this project and this class
will reflect the hard work she has shown my family and I.
                                                                  I love you.

Triptych Digital Montage

Artist Summary:
This piece was composed of one scanned image of my hand and a photocopy of Teen Vogue on a page about Emma Watson. The rest of the images were selected based on their intriguing qualities. It involved many different forms of digital art such as fashion, love, beauty, and emotion, as well as and creative interest in tattoos and surreal art. All three compositions were designed differently but show the same overall image intensity per each montage. Showing collective images will catch your attention and attract your eyes along the way.

Art Cart

Art in Public Places is a social art experiment that promotes a proactive way to get the community involved with participating in personal creativity and artistic culture. Starting with a cart stocked full of local artwork, blank canvases, and art materials, people are invited and welcomed to create their own artwork in exchange for art in the cart. This creates a continuous flow of new artwork being created and donated back to the cart in exchange for an art piece created by another participant. This project was a positive and successful way of spreading the wonderful creativity we all have to share.
